Kayla has experience working with adolescents and adults of all age ranges. She specializes in grief and loss, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, and women’s mental health. She completed her Master’s Degree in Social Work at Florida International University and has experience in diverse settings such as working with adolescents and families at a local non-profit and as a hospital social worker at an intensive care unit.
Her approach is collaborative, warm, client-centered, and strengths-based. She is committed to creating a safe therapeutic environment where all clients feel empowered and supported throughout their therapy journey. She believes there is no one-size-fits all approach to therapy and will tailor evidence-based techniques to meet your specific needs and priorities.
In sessions, Kayla draws from Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness techniques.
During her free time, her favorite activities are hosting dinners for family and friends, reading, trying new restaurants and coffee shops around Miami, and spending time with her pets.
